Cllr Andy MacNae

Cllr Andy MacNae is a Rossendale Borough Councillor in the Rawtenstall ward of Hareholme. He has previously been a Councillor in the Bacup ward of Greensclough for 4 years. He is also the lead Councillor for tourism and has previously been Portfolio Holder for Regeneration.

Cllr Andy MacNae is currently CEO of Venture Xtreme and Managing Director of enterprise consultancy EDC.  Prior to these roles he worked in Rossendale for 7 years on behalf of Business Link and PEER support. During that time he supported over 600 business looking to start up or grow. Andy has an MBA from Manchester Business School and before working in Rossendale was deputy CEO of the British Mountaineering Council and CEO of its commercial arm Mountain Services. He remains a keen climber and cyclist. He is chair of the Pennine Mountain Bike Association and Mid Pennine Arts. He also sits on the management board of the Mount Everest Foundation.

In his time on the RTB board Andy is committed to ensuring that we deliver development that all Rossendale can be proud of. And in particular that we create town centres that reflect the best of Rossendale, that are places where people want to shop and spend their leisure time, and that work now and in the future.
