05 Sep Roland and Barbara Norman
When Roland and Barbara Norman got a chance to move to the £1.6m Heron Place in Rawtenstall, they jumped at it.
Ill-health meant their first floor flat in Crawshawbooth was no longer suitable, so they bid on an apartment at Heron Place and now their life is so much easier.
Heron Place is a 12-home apartment complex for over-55s and has been a smash it for the new occupants.
Roland said: “My wife has a bad hip so having a flat on the first floor was very hard work, so getting this new flat has given us a new lease of life.
“Our apartment is perfect for us. It’s open plan, modern and very nicely finished and the bedroom is very large so it’s absolutely ideal.
“We feel very lucky to have got an apartment and we’ve been able to make lots of new friends. We’ve all got to know each other and we all get one very well so we’re very happy.”
